Location: Harlem, New York

Temporary public sculpture comprised of ½” thick perforated aluminum plates , standing at approximately 15ft tall. Structural scope included analysis and specification of the joining detail between plates, review of custom hand-cut perforations and plate thickness for stability, design of intermittent reinforcement, and specification of the base bolting detail to the pavement for DOT approval in accordance with NYC DOB requirements. Close iterative collaboration with the artist brought this successful artwork to Harlem. Hermona led the Silman structural engineering team as Senior Engineer and Project Manager.
