Revitalization of 75,000sqft K-12 school in Gramercy Park. Structural scope included complete gut renovation and historic façade preservation of three mid-19th century townhouses, and new construction of Hunter Hall. Key design components included lateral support for the historic brick façade to new floor plates at modified elevations, the addition of two sub-terranean floor levels without disturbance to the existing and neighboring foundations, a new playroof, and a new educational greenhouse at roof. Hermona led the Silman structural engineering team as Project Engineer.
